Deutsche Bahn, the parent company of DB SCHENKER, presented today the half-year results 2023 with solid results amidst challenging circumstances. In the first six months of 2023, DB SCHENKER has generated revenue € 10,080 million and an EBIT of € 626 million.

The results of the logistics service provider remain significantly better than the last pre-COVID era figures in 2019, when half-year revenues were at € 8,525 million and EBIT at € 238 million, which was emphasized by Jochen Thewes, CEO of DB SCHENKER, as well as by Jakob Wegge-Larsen, CFO of DB SCHENKER:

Half Year Results 2023 DB SCHENKER – Business Units

All DB SCHENKER business units, land transport, air freight, ocean freight and contract logistics, also performed well in the first half of 2023.

The development of our global land transport business continues to be outstanding in 2023. Our strong and growing share in APAC and MEA, the well-advanced integration of USA Truck and a single TMS being rolled out in Europe will continue our successful journey.

We continue to support our customers with best-in-class sustainable logistics solutions. In the first half of 2023, we secured >10,000 tons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and 17,000 metric tons of marine biofuel in cooperation with three major shipping lines at the best possible quality on the market.
